Data processed when visiting
Technical data may be recorded automatically when the website is accessed, including IP address, date and time, page visited, referring page, browser type, operating system and device information.
This information is used to deliver and secure the website, detect errors, compile audience statistics and improve its content.
Audience measurement and advertising
The website uses Google Tag Manager to manage tags, Google Analytics 4 to measure audiences, and Google Ads and Meta tags to assess communications or campaigns. These services load when the page opens. They may set or read identifiers and process information about pages viewed, including the full page address and the source of the visit, the device, the browser and certain interactions (contact clicks, appointment booking).
When an appointment is booked in the OneDoc module, OneDoc notifies the website, which forwards this event and its technical parameters to Google Analytics. Values entered into health calculators are not sent; only the name of the tool used is.
Google and Meta may process data outside Switzerland. Further processing is also governed by their own policies. You can limit certain processing through your browser or device settings and the controls provided by these companies. The banner shown on the website is informational; its dismissal is saved for 180 days in the sm_cookie_notice cookie.
Hosting and delivery
The website is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical data required to provide, secure and optimise the service.
Embedded or linked services
- Google Maps may receive technical data when the map is loaded or used.
- Google Fonts provides the website fonts and may receive technical information when they load.
- OneDoc handles appointment booking, whether you follow a link to its platform or use the booking module embedded in this website. This module is loaded from the OneDoc servers and may set or read identifiers.
- Instagram and Facebook apply their own terms when you open Smart Medical’s profiles.
Contacting Smart Medical
When you contact Smart Medical by telephone or email, the information you provide is processed to answer and follow up your request.
Ordinary email is not a secure channel for confidential medical information. Do not send sensitive health data by email. For medical requests or appointments, use the telephone or OneDoc.
Recipients, retention and security
Data is available only to the people and service providers who need it to operate the website or respond to a request. It is retained only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose, legal obligations or the protection of legal rights. Third-party services apply their own retention periods.
Smart Medical takes appropriate technical and organisational security measures. No exchange over the Internet can nevertheless be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction, delivery or deletion of your data, or object to certain processing. Identity verification may be required before a request is answered.
